Photography post 8- Flying Owl
Today after school, Jade and I were driving and right across the road, a Barred Owl flew right infront of our car! The wings offered brilliant spots and contrast in shades and the dark eyes were clear on the face. The moment seemed to suddenly slow down and the whole thing must've lasted a full 3 seconds. If I had had a camera ready I would have used a very fast shutter speed and could have probably caught this bird of prey right in action. What a moment!

That was definitely a missed photographic importunity, and it keeps happening to us with different birds! we should keep a camera at the ready as we are driving up my hill maybe the third time will be the charm ;P. You could have also used a high aperture and telephoto lens.
