Photography post 12: Converse wars

While at a friend's house this weekend, there were many chances to get an action shot. One of my favorites happened when two of the people took there converse off and attempted to take each other down. It was out of hilarity and movement that made the image so fantastic. The hair of one person bouncing with movement, the determined face of the other mixed with humor, dancing around each other in mock battle stances. In such an image I would have used a fast shutter speed and no flash, due to the strong sun. I had my point and shoot and had set it on the sport setting and had turned the flash off. But then the batteries in my camera died after a couple shots and the moment was over by the time I could get more out. :P

Photography Post 11- Fox kill

A few days ago I found a dead Raccoon in the woods which appeared yo be killed by a Fox that lives in our woods. It was lodged in some logs was had just recently been dropped there because the fur was still clean and it had not been eaten yet. Failing to have a camera, I just simply poked at it with a stick. But if I had had my camera, I would have used a high aperture in order to get all surrounding details and the patterns in the fur.

Photography post 10: ET the cat

On Easter last weekend my cat decided to be more adorable than usual and curled up among the Easter toys. Inbetween five other stuffed animals, my kitten, Elliot had only his head showing through the polyester companions. Reminding me of the alien, ET blending in with the stuffed toys. I captured this photo on a setting meant for images 28 in. and closer. It displayed the detail in his face and the very strands of fur on the stuffed animals. I also set the camera on the table so as to prevent and blur. Sadly I am unaware of how to upload this photo onto my blog.
